Another favorite at every Puerto Rican celebration is the Tacada. From school events and university gatherings to baby showers and baptisms, you’ll find it everywhere! A good Sándwich de Mezcla and a fresh Tacada are the two things that simply cannot be missing from a true Boricua party.
Ingredient:
- Ingredients:
- 1 bar of cream cheese
- ½ lb of ground beef
- 1 head of lettuce
- 1 tomato, diced, shredded
- Shredded cheese
- sofrito and garlic
- Potato chip (tostitos scoops, my preference)
Methods:
- In a pan, sauté the ground beef with sofrito and garlic until fully browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Place the softened cream cheese at the bottom of a serving bowl or glass dish. Spread it evenly until it covers the entire base.
- Pour the mild sauce over the cream cheese, followed by the cooked ground beef.
- Add a layer of shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes.
- Top generously with shredded cheese.
- Enjoy with Tostitos Scoops or your favorite potato chips!
