Jugo de China

In Puerto Rico, we don’t just call it «naranja»; it’s always China. There is nothing like the smell of fresh oranges being squeezed in a local market or at home on a Sunday morning. This juice is prized for its deep sweetness and natural vibrance, offering a pure taste of the island’s mountains. It’s the ultimate way to start your day or cool down under the Caribbean sun. This is my grandmother’s favorite juice. Growing up, there was nothing like the taste of fresh oranges squeezed at home—it’s a flavor that always reminds me of her and the simple joys of a Puerto Rican morning.
